Quilt With Us

Thank you for reading my blogs.

What a crazy week starting with the weekend before Valentine's day.  My husband and I were sort of anticipating a 'surprise' visit from our youngest son, Kyle.  He is a Valentine's baby and knows how much I hate driving in Dallas, Tx.   This year was different.  Saturday we got a late afternoon call from Darren, (3rd child of 4 and youngest twin).  They were going to have a get together for family and friends on Sunday.  So, fast plans for a visit to Dallas area was in the works.  Our oldest son, Sean, was going to take his son to Dallas area on Sunday.  So, I contacted Sean and he volunteered to have us ride along.

I had been planning on sending the bibs I had made (shown in earlier post), back with Kyle after his 'surprise' visit.  Baby Daniel is 7 mos old.

Daddy Darren with baby Daniel on Valentine's day.  He had to show off, son or bib, I don't know.  LOL

Now Monday comes, and I have another grandchild to do something for.  No clue in my head and Valentine's is tomorrow.  I got it!  I will make a heart shaped pillow.  Now what to make it out of.  No money to buy fabric.  OH, scrappy.  I dug out scrap from all the things I have made her.  Here is the result:

Addyson loved it.  Her dad recognized all the fabrics that I had used in all of her other goodies from Grandma.

She is 'petting' it.  She is 2 going on 15.  Such a diva.  She even has a strut!  She is the first girl born in over 40 years on my husbands side of the family.

We have another grandson, Seth, but he is now 16, could not think of a thing to make him.  In fact, he was almost a Valentine baby.  His birthday is/was the 19th.  I have showered him with all types of goodies over the years, including woven items.

Now I am preparing for Easter.  Getting a jump on it now.  I will head back to weaving soon.

Everyone, I hope you have a Spirit Led week,

God Bless

Prairie Quilter, thank you for reading my blog.  It is hard most days to comment on all the posts and then also post my own stuff.

I know how to crochet, to a point, but really do not like it.  I was doing it to keep my hands busy while watching tv  in the evenings.  Years ago, I participated in crocheting squares to be sent off to Africa to be made into blankets.  I made over 200 of them.

I would rather quilt, weave (on a floor loom), or embroider.

Handsome son & grandson.

Petting the fabric - isn't that a sure sign of a future quilter? :)  What a sweetie.

I'm working on a twin sized train-themed quilt for my 3 year old grandson.  It is mostly pieced - just needs borders.  Also crocheting some dishcloths in the evenings.
