Returned from a visit to Virginia to see my dad who is in the end stages of Alzheimers. Had a nice visit and even had my son drive from Maryland to see his granddad. That was a nice surprise. It took 2 days to get there and 2 days to get back so our visit lasted only 3 days in order to give hubby a chance to rest before he goes back to work on Monday and his sister and mom arrive from Arizona.
When we returned, our neighbor greeted me with a box and I thought they were my text books for the upcoming fall semester. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was the final print of my books and I was sent a small supply of paperbacks and a hardback. These are for me to use at signings and/or sell myself!
If anyone wishes an autographed copy, just send me an email and I will let you know what the book sells for, and upon receipt of payment, will send an autographed copy your way.
Hard to believe that it's actually a done deal and that I will have a book signing in approximately 3 weeks time! How cool is that!!
Hope all are keeping cool and those suffering from a hot dry spell will soon get relief with some cooling, soothing rain.
I am hoping to get some much needed sewing and projects done over the next few weeks in preparation for the Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival in October. I will be their photographer again this year and need to have some things ready to sell. All this has to wait until the inlaws leave. I have SO many UFO's that I really need some me time.
