Quilt With Us

I finished the Giants quilt I made for my BIL Cameron.  While it was a challenge to quilt it on my Pfaff, I am proud that I stuck with it and I think it turned out pretty good (if I do say so myself).  Here are some updated pics of it:

My husband helped me when it came time to piece the back to make sure that the strip with the Giants fabric stayed straight.  It was a good lesson for him to learn that some parts of quiltmaking are not as easy as they might appear.

Now I just need to find a box big enough to ship it in and it will be on its way to California.

Thanks PQ, Barb & Linda.  Cam's wife saw a picture of it before it was quilted and she likes it too.  I just wish I lived close enough to deliver it in person, but I will just have to settle for getting pics of him holding it.

So bright and pretty. Love how the two blocks play together. It is great to have our husband to be part of the team and love what we do. Mine just took me Fabric shop hopping. I wanted to see the Row by Row Experience up close.  Only he had his wish list and my daughter hers. That was interesting. I guess I have three more quilts in the making, one for each one of us.

The quilting looks great, and the back turned out nice, as well.  Nice job, Cameron is going to love wrapping up in this stunner.

I still love this quilt.  Every time I see it I'm reminded why I like clean, crisp, high contrast patterns/fabrics.

Thanks Roxann.  Thankfully my Pfaff has 10" to the right of the needle, which really helps, but it is still quite a chore to get it quilted.

Outstanding! You did this on a domestic sewing machine?? You did a fantastic job with as big as it is! Go you!

Thanks Pam & Carol Ann.  Knowing him, I would not put it past him to wrap himself in it at a ballgame.  I wish my FIL was still alive as he would have loved this quilt too.

Any SF Giants fan would love this!  Any chance I might spot it wrapped around his shoulders on one of the very common chilly days at AT&T park?  On second thought, it would be big enough for two!
