Walking in France, Getting Exercise in Africa

Yes, Barb, it was a lovely time for me. Usually, I live in quite isolated circumstances. Traveling to Europe and through Europe was quite an adventure, and it was a special time because my best friend of 40 years came from Kentucky to meet me in Paris. And, the Kenya Quilt Guild were Guests of Honor at the Carrefour Européen du Patchwork. I helped hang, work and knock down the exhibition, and I saw many previous friends and former students. A very special time, indeed!
As for my work being graphic and modern--that's funny! I wouldn't think of anything I make in quite those terms, although I'm sure you're correct. When I make quilts, I have no need to classify. I seek only the creative process--to design and make--and I leave classification to others.
Thanks for commenting. It's nice to know that others are interested in what I do and how I do it!
A nice holiday in France, I'm sure. Your quilts are very graphic and modern. I like seeing different styles of quilts that get posted here.
Thank you, Irene--yes, I do keep busy most of the time. I'm glad you enjoyed my post, and I hope you signed up to receive my newsletter.
You can see my quilts in my online portfolio here: http://www.denadalecrain.com/portfolio.html. Enjoy!!
Dena, you sound like a very busy lady. I love walking and I do some yoga. Both good exercise. I hope you post your guilt's when you finish them. I would love to see them.
