It is still cold here in Wisconsin even though the sun is shining. One sure sign that winter is near the end is we finished our curling season today. My husband and I curl (and try to remain upright on the ice). This weekend was our end-of-the-year bonspiel (tournament). We curled on Wed., Fri., Sat., and today. Last night was also the cocktail party, dinner, and dancing. We made it to the final four, but this sure cut into my quilting time. I have been trying so hard to finish some UFO's. I did complete the Toast Point runners for my girlfriends, using the fabric we brought back from Hawaii. I have a lap quilt and a couple of octagonal table toppers to finish, using my remaining Hawaiian fabric. I also have 2 very Hungry Caterpillar quilts, a Dick and Jane quilt, and Underground Railroad quilt, and a couple of baby quilts in progress. I just finished knitting a Christmas stocking for one grandaughter, and need to finish another before next Christmas. I finally read Twilight for one of my book clubs. It is set in Fork, Washington. We have vactioned there, so it made the book more interesting. Never thought I would like a book with a vampire as a character, but found it interesting. Now I am crawling through Michener's Hawaii. I need to get things finished because I'm sure that sometime we will have spring here and then I want to be outside.
