Hi Charlotte. I hope we can meet sometime. I have been to the Quilter's Hive, but not taken any classes. When I looked on-line for their new year schedule, it was not up yet. It probably is available now, so I'll have to check again. Is there a particular class or teacher you would recommend?
The penisula is awesome, its my neighbor. I live in Pot Nets Lakeside, that you pass on your way to their house. There is a great shop in Dagsboro, which is a little south of us. It is called Serendipity. I will get you the link. She is closed for 2 weeks but its definately a place you will like. Let me know next time you are down and maybe we can meet and I'll show you where it is
Hi Charlotte, my first name is Barbara (usually use Barb, NOT Babs or Barbie-LOL-although I do collect Barbie Christmas Ornaments and Barbie fabric). I love your Avatar - my favorite holiday is Halloween: celebrating it, decorating for it or making quilted things for it. Are you going to participate in the winter block swap in East Coast Quilters?
Just looked up Middletown on Google - first 'cause I didn't know where it is and second because my DH is always looking for new golf courses! Since we're in the NW corner of NJ, I'm quite limited in quilt shops - there are 4, but each is about 40-45 minutes away. Three I love for their charm and interesting mix of fabrics - Pieceful Choices in Vernon, Kindred Quilts in Clinton (which also just happens to be 10 minutes from my new granddaughter!) and Aardvaark Quilt Shop in Morris Plains (they also have a great gift section). The other one is Pocono SewVac in Stroudsburg, PA - the shop is in a converted dept store and they sell just about every brand of sewing machines, cabinets, decor fabric and more notions than you could possibly want. I bought my Janome there and am going tomorrow for service on my Pfaff which is my favorite machine. I'm going to see how much it would cost to upgrade the Pfaff to a Pfaff mid-arm machine - probalby too much at least for now. I'm a Landscape Designer and I hurt my knee this summer so I didn't work too much until the end of the summer. I'm 95% now and am looking forward to this summer - will start contracts and advertising at the beginning of February.

Good morning Charlotte. Another COOOOOOOLLLLLDDD morning. Actual temperature is -1 or -2, I don't know what the wind is driving it down to. I'll not think aboutit (brrrrrr). I rewarded myself with a mid-arm MegaQuilter about 2 years ago. I am still learning -- ever learning. Every day it seems I run into a different dilemma. It is on a Next Generation fram (10 ft. long). A project from our guild last year was to set a goal -- and complete it. I did. I didn't buy one gift (oops -- wrong, bought 2 books for my grandson) -- I aimed not to buy any -- I gave away lap quilts and 4 bed quilts as my gifts for Christmas. I really felt good with the hands on Christmas. I have 3 other machines (Featherweight, 25 year old Singer, and a machine owned by my mother before she passed away) -- all not working right now. I just got the Keepsake Quiltng magazine and they mentioned the QE edition of the Bernina. Do you love it? I'll bore you with my great grandchildren's baby blankets next time I'm online, OK? Till then take care -- and I pray your mother-in-law is comfortable.
Good evening Charlotte. It is cold, actual degree is 16, add the wind chill factor and we're at -1 at least. Snow blowing outside, I'm downstairs in my rec room on the computer taking a break, hoping to finish a small table topper that I had pieced a while ago. I belong to a local guild -- hooray for your winning the fat quarters!!! Just what we need -- more fabric to make our lives more interesting. Thanks for the should via e-mail. This is fun. What type of machine do you own? Happy or disappointed with it? Talk with you whenever you have time. Have a good evening . . . . .
