Just read up on your bio, my sister has fibro... very challenging.. She is on Quilt with Us too, She'll be surprised to hear that you found quilting theraputic. She makes fabric handbags and she struggles with limit time before she will feel the effects of the fibro, and have to quite for a while. You have a great attitude, God does his best work in US.. if we let him. Take care.. Marcia
BJ thank you so much. You must be a professional designer! Directions are fantastic! I've been wanting to ask you this for sometime......are you originally from Michigan? Went to school with a BJ - of course that was over 50 years ago! Your photo looks similar to my memory....and what she may look like. I've got to get the courage to try a bag too! But for certain, I'm making me a take-along!! Very kind of you to share with all of us!
I will just order one for now maybe another one later. Tell me how to go about doing this. Is it safe for us to exchange home addresses on here. my e-mail is email@example.com this might be a safer way to exchange info.
Hey BJ.....your flower pics are so beautiful.....I'm assuming you take the pictures with your camera? Fantastic colors. Hope you have a great mothers day. My hubby is taking me over to Bend Oregon and the shop in Sisters for mothers day this weekend. I already have my shopping list ready!!!!!!!!!!!!
BJ: Thanks for commenting on my blog. Yes, I'm an Austen fanatic! Usually I just listen to audiobooks, but I would chew my fingers with nothing to do. ( I can only spin for short times before my thumb gets tired.) Love your purses and your flowers! Happy quilting! --Peggy
When you make your purses do you use any interfacing or iron-on batting? I checked out the web-site and some of the purses were wrinkled and messy looking. I don't know if it's the fabric, the construction or what. I'm thinking of making the buttercup bag for one of my daughter-in-laws for Christmas. I think she would like it.
What do you do with the bags you make? I like to carry different bags but there's only so many that will fit in my closet!
Delete Comment BJ,
Hello! Thanks for the note back to me. Yes, BJ things are moving along so well. I do though know you are so correct about we have been blessed. I feel it, and I have become even closer to sharing my time with God. Before I was close, yet you know things get out of hand at times, and ya just forget to continue to talk or ask for help from our lord. I forget to always think of Gods help, and ya try to do it all on your own. Well, we all know that when that happens we get unbalanced, and that good old grey cloud hangs over. That is when we are over whelmed. I wonder why we drift, when the answer is right out there. BJ, I do take several different times a day to thank God for all he did for us. All that he has done for me all of my life.
Tonight, I am happy… very happy. I see Jeff doing so well. This was a dream of mine for most of his life, to have a normal life. God has given my son that chance. He tried telling me all the things he has planned to do this summer, and I guess he was waiting to hear me say, Oh Jeff do you think you should do that. Expect, he heard me say, Jeff go for whatever you want to do. Live every second of your life doing all you want to do. Live your life to the fullest! You deserve to do this. Jeff’s look on his face was very shocked. As I protected him in the past from getting sick… I know now... he must just go for it. He smiled!
By the way, BJ, I love your new tote. I like your web page. Thanks again, for your nice note to me. Hugs Morgan
Wow, BJ. You really did it up so well. It would be so nice to see you get some monetary benefit from designing this quilt pattern. It's great.
I will send you a photo once I have a go at the project. It may a while because there are a number of other things I have to get accomplished (including nasty non-quilting things). :-)
Your quilts and all are beautiful! I like to do purses and would like to know if the 3rd and 4th purses are a pattern. I bought a fat quarter of Rte 66 and a fat quarter of Texas flag with bluebonnets while we were visiting children in Texas. That pattern would be good for them. Our baked potato bag is worn out so now have to make a new one and have charity "blankies" to finish by Friday. Best get busy! Carolyn
Happy May Day to you! BJ, don't tell me you like Hydrangeas too! They have been my favorite since I was a child. We've always had them where ever we lived. I have a gigantic Nikko Blue and two smaller pink and lavender mix.
