Hi Linda, thanks for the compliment on the bunny sewing machine cover.
I got out of the hospital yesterday afternoon. Was in there two full weeks. Still got another month of house rest. They have set me up with the visiting nurses. They will come twice a week for 4 weeks.
Never been so miserable in my life. Very painful. ~ Irene
Hi Linda, thank you for accepting my friend request. I too am glad we are now friends and thank you so much for the kind words on my blogs. Took a peek at your photos and they are beautiful!! Looking forward to getting to know you better.
Hi Linda, thanks so much for jumping in with your congrats! I'm sorry to hear you've stayed away from QWU. I'm still quite an active member because I feel it's all about the relationships of the members, not necessarily how well it is moderated. I would miss this gang of friends terribly if I left the group. I do mostly stay in the groups, not the main page though.
I'm so excited about this new job! Lots and lots to do right now - my house is going to be rented, I'm heading to Seattle tomorrow to house hunt (also a rental), and I'm waiting on a bid for the moving company - they'll be packing it all for me. I'm in no condition to attempt that.
I did have a total knee replacement 2 weeks ago. Doing pretty well. Today I'm beginning to wean myself from the drugs so I can begin to drive again - woohoo! I've had lots and lots of help. My mom and my cousin Joy have been staying with me and waiting on me hand and foot.

Hi Linda, I didn't see this post when I wrote you the other message. yes I live in Calais. I would love to have gotten a phone call from your sister. I may have had time to scoot across the bridge and meet her at the restaurant. I was in Canada at 7:15 my time this morning. I had to run something over to my daughter-in-law that she left here Thanksgiving day. They live about a mile from me.
Hello Linda. I'm thinking about you this morning and wondering if you have any snow yet. We really got dumped on yesterday and my husband spent all day out there shovelling. Now he is at it again. The one good thing about winter is the quilting time. We have been very busy with a project at our church and soon it will be time to get ready for Christmas. We are going to our son's place in Calgary and I have two baby quilts to make before then. Today is Remembrance Day and we go to a Community Service at the Hall. I am a Royal Purple and Joe is a Lion so we have to go in our outfits. In Sept. we went to Europe and visited Joe's brother's grave in Holland. It was very touching. I still feel bad we didn't stop at Marathon on our way thro. Joe is not one much for stopping at places on a trip. Have a good day
