Hey Joanne, Hi! I'm still utility quilting on that experimental piece and R is signed up for summer classes, yay! The heat is killing me again and can't believe this same body could stand it years ago when I was much younger. For the first time I won't have anything to put in our show next month...too much is going on emotionally w/immediate family and C being home...I just cant get organized and entry forms are due today...I don't think I'm gonna make it.
Hope you are doing well with your 'group' and the challenge and you don't owe a single penny, my good friend! Hugs and more later I am, Lois
Glad to hear that Karen Stone lived up to expectations--her work is great, glad that you could make it. Hope that work is going well? Still counting on seeing your georgeous quilt very soon??? Just finished my first Aran sweater I designed from scratch and am knitting off some sock blanks that I dyed--my red fingernails prove it!! Hope that your trip is fantastic!!
OK...i got the shawl pinbasted yesterday now to move up to ramp speed and plug the Machine into the dining room outlet and brave the territory of machine quilting!
(oh, and where's my beer?) :D That will help me relax my shoulders! ha!
congrats on Dano! fingerz crossed that he crosses the sea for that trip! I'm ticked as i can't find the matching thread i bought aeons ago for machine piecing my dresden blocks so i can then applique my flower to the row. So whether i like it or not i'm going through my 'studio' with attitude and clearing/cleaning/tossing fabric in order to find that dang thread...whatever it takes right? (fabric i don't want is going to a needy elderly quilter w/tonz of time and energy!) Later, Jo...till then have a great day/week and sunshine down south there...we need it too! :D
Hi Joanne...i'm excited to head for retreat on Friday even if it's not with quilter friends..this will be clergy/aim spouses and at Briarwood so yummy meals and hearty laughter ahead plus a Happy Hour or 2...yay! Am between projects now...my steam has fizzled since dad's diagnosis...don't know whether to put a quilt together for him or not...take care, sweetie!
Hi stranger!! Hope that all is well for you--haven't heard for awhile. Hope that you had a great Thanksgiving-- and your family is doing fine? Are you planning on the Jan retreat?--sounds great!! Best wishes for a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
Once the lineage is gone you may have to own a different breed, a sad meow I know. Sorry, D allergic TOO? Oh no, that is def NOT GOOD..and btw: I'm jealous of the wunderbar pie experience that I missed, lol :D
Joanne, Thanksgiving was yumtastic and the Moon was grand! It was nice to de'stress for awhile as it's back now that I'm home...already looking forward to the doldrums (Ha!) of January...get Christ*mas behind us ...it's just more stress here at the house. Hope all is well with C being at your home too...give me a holler if you have any questions! love ya...Lois
Oh my gosh...Joanne, tie your shoes on after work and walk the neighborhood...the weather is to DIE for and old man winter will be nagging in a few weeks..enjoy this gorgeous fall while we have it! I could live outside it's so nice! Quilt stuff can wait!
Sounds like you've been super busy--glad that you finally saw the pic--I thought that it was great to have Jacqueline in front of "your" beautiful--the one next to it is the pattern I'm working up courage to start!!--it should keep me off the streets for a couple of days?? Sorry about your friend--that's the problem when you have lots of elderly friends, but they tend to be so very interesting! Yes, we had lots of rain, but no flooding--good weather to stay in !! Today was fantastic--cool, clear and sunny!! gives one lots of energy! Have a great week!!
