Cheryl- We ended up taking 81 to 77 and drove past Charlotte. Good thing we did, schools were closing because of ice! We had a great trip and are now in Orlando enjoying the warmth! I thought of you when we hit the border!
Cheryl, your words were like the balm of Gilead this morning. You do have a way of the Spirit speaking through you, thank you for your prayers and concern. I needed you. Much love, Linda
Cheryl--almost every woman I know would have said I'm glad he did it and not me! He would have brought it up for months! I must admit to having a little fun about the last time he backed into DS's car--I still occasionally will remind him that there's another car back there!
Thanks Cheryl! I'll look there! I have my daughter's wedding quilt to make and I vowed it will be totally done on their wedding day, so I might not get very much done on SBS, but I AM going to start it. Laurie
I know you put a lot of heart and soul into your class work awhile back. I am lucky enough that they only require 2 classes each semester...I was going to sign up for at least 4 in the beginning...and I don't work either so I shouldn't complain. I put in large class loads back when I first got my degree but that was 17 years ago!! Thanks for the mental boost.
Cheryl....I was just visiting with you and Maryam on chat......I have posted a picture of the Mini Bow Tuck bag I made yesterday. Not the greated picture, printed crooked for some reason, but is is there. Have a good day!
Thank you, Cheryl! I'm excited about quilting it--the little sample I did was so much fun to quilt, and I've timed it just right to have a lap full of quilt for the winter!
I'm stopped! I usually just keep going, rest just enough to go again, and then keep going, and so forth. But today, there's just nothing there, and of course shops will be there (and I need more projects like I need another hole in my head). So I'm enjoying catching up on QWU, hand quilting a little, talking to my kids when they call....and resting.
The thread crocheted bedspread is supposed to be all one color - white. However, the daughters bought whatever - cream, ecru or tan - close enough! Anyway, I just shook my head, closed my eyes and continued on. I just had a graph - no instructions, but think I must have used a smaller quilt hook than the others or they switched threat weight on me because my side is a little more drawn (tighter) than the rest of the border and body. I cloroxed the heck out of it hoping to bleach out the off-colored cotton thread to white and it came out looking pretty good. We can still tell where they switched balls of cotton, but it was either clorox it or tea-dye it all one color and we may end up doing that, too. I'll try to get a picture of it posted sometime. The one I took didn't show the design at all, so I'll try to put a dark sheet under it to see if that helps.
Thanks for the advice on the hard water deposits. I'm pretty much game for anything!
Sorry...Ireread that several times and then when BJ thought she had passed...thank goodness she will be okay! We are enjoying the lake...our LAST group of company arrives within the hour! lol....It does have it's down side when they come back to back! Love seeing everyone...but need a few days in between!
