LOL...Until you told that story, I would never have told anyone what I do! I think I'm the most unconvential quilter...but apparently not! I never bind my quilts...always hem them! There...I've confessed out loud!!!! She sounds like a great mentor!
Cheryl- I must be related to this woman...I've done all my quilts like that! lol I've never bought one that has had the markings on it for so long! Thanks for reassuring me that I was doing something right!
Cheryl, I just wanted to thank you for the encouragement you gave to the quilter who just discovered her husband's unfaithfulness. So many times as women our reflex is to say "ditch the dirty so-and-so" and so I was very pleased to read your words of wisdom to encourage them to stick with it and that the blessings would be worth it even though it may be hard. I believe it is never too late to do the right thing, and if the repentance is genuine, healing can come to a marriage. Anyway, thanks. Your post was well said. PQ
Cheryl, love the pictures of your Mom and her lovely wedding. So nice to see people happy and enjoying each other. What a great dress, cake, and of course good looking spouse.
Cheryl- There is an outstanding antique show here, Bouckville, NY, every year, the third weekend in August. Thousand vendors converge on this one horse village for three days. Thousands of people visit. We live 10 miles away...you can find anything! Besides, it is absolutely gorgeous here that time of the summer! I'm sure there is a website...
Happy Birthday Cheryl! May your day be filled with all that you love (and from your comments on the Slacker's group it sounds like you are well on your way). And I hope you find lots of time for quilting also.
Hi Cheryl, You are such a sweet person...... I am thrilled to be back again. I have been very worried over my DH. At least cancer was ruled out.... yet he still has problems...yet back to work again. Your post was very nice. Your right, my mom is a hoot. She looks great for 80 too. My grandson Alan.... is a sweetie too! I am so glad to have my life back to normal again. I got to spend the entire day out in the sewing room today. I am getting back to all of my projects.... Cheryl thank you and see you in our group in a few days. I want to get some blocks done so I can post them. Hugs Morgan oxoxoxoxoxxo
Thanks for the info and the quilt site for the QuiltsforKids.......... I have requested one and am looking forward to receiving it!

Check out the free motion quilting designs from this young lady: http://www.freemotionquilting.blogspot.com/ and her website: http://www.daystyledesigns.com/stippling.htm . She had a project to create a new design every day for a year...not sure how far she got, but her demonstrations are nice!
