Well, I think you should enter some quilt shows. Your work is really great and your color choices are great! It looks like you like traditional quilts, that is my passion also. I guess that is why in the last couple of years I have been hand quilting. I just have always adored handquilted traditional quilts. They take a while to do, but I really enjoy the peace that comes with hand quilting.
Hi Edna- I loved looking at your quilts! Beautiful quilts and quality workmanship! I too love scrappy quilts and that's why I think so many of your quilts caught my eye! And Kansas Trouble is a fabric line I love: burgandy, navy, forest green...YUM! Ya gotta love 'em! (I must really love 'em since these are the same colors in my living room!)
Enjoy what's left of your week-Marcia
I love Bound to the Praire also - I have a friend who says I need to get out of my box - all the blues, burgandys - safe colors!! But I love my box!! And I guess for the most part I intend to stay there!! I do make exceptions for my grandkids though - they like fun colors - like the tractors and John Deere in my photos - they are actually game quilts - tic tac toe on one side and checkers on the other with zippered pockets on all four corners of the checker side
Thanks for the comment about my "Dave & Sheila" quilt!! It was made with a jelly roll - Bound to the Prairie 2 - all my colors - blues, burgandys, tans, etc!! By looking at your photos I would say we have alot of the same tastes in quilts!! By the way you have some beautiful quilts!! I especially like the 3rd one - has kinda the look of log cabin but the design is really neat!!
Thanks for the comment about my Geese. It really isn't a pattern, several of us exchanged flying geese, and we put them together however we wanted. This one was mine. I have since given the quilt away.
