Good morning Mary,  I know what you mean about buying material.  We don't seem to have shop hops here, I suppose that is because we don't have so many shops, in fact there is only one shop as a quilt material and a couple of shops selling a small amount of material, but nothing to speak of.  We have a very big quilt show in Birmingham in August, I may go, but it's about 3 hrs away, it's international and very stimulating.  I would definitely buy MORE material and I certainly do not need it or place to put it, but unfortunately I am weak and the fabric magnet is strong.

I am meeting up with a friend today she is going to show me how to put together my hand quilted blocks using the quilt as you go, I want to make them into two single bed covers, will keep you posted.  Just heard on the tv that big storms are on the way, so the beach walk with the Rotary Club may have to be cancelled to night.  The tv is full of the new royal baby, what a public life in front of him, but the are lovely parents, I am sure the have learned lots of lessons over the years.look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Mary, it is truly wonderful when we move over from our day time profession to be able to indulge in our hobbies, I do so enjoy it.  Like you have worn many hats and still have a few balancing (smile) I am not a wonderful quilter and not very fast also, but I do love to share with like minded people especially from all parts of the world.  I dont know what the weather is like in your part of the world, but, here in UK its feeling very cold and could snow I think.  Look forward to hearing from you - Best wishes for the Christmas Season Marianne

Hi, Mary...Jacque e-mailed me to tell me that you and Jody T stopped by her booth at the shop hop over the weekend. Did you find lots of goodies? I'm excited for the new mystery project. I think we're about to get going on it. Not as many people signed up this time, but that's o.k. After we post our pictures, they'll wish they had!! Hope the roads weren't too bad for your travel to the shop hop. I know I'm sick of commuting this winter. Have a great week.

Mary, I hope you got back to the motel o.k. after Eleanor Burns. Did you get a poster? Nancy and I were ready to get home and didn't want to stand in line any more. I am going to get one of those scallop rulers tomorrow. Sure enjoyed meeting you and I'm glad you came along to eat at the Shed. I sure hope you find your pink card.

Mary, could be a relative. She has family in Cedar Rapids to I think. I havenet talked with her for a long time. We send cards back and forth. Sounds like I could use one of those rulers myself. I might look for one.
Thanks, Rhonda

Hi Mary; I will be sending your copies here in a little while. Anyway, all the ladies who are doing the quilt will cut out 128 6 inch squares of light print fabric and 128 squares of med to dark print fabric. When I get the list all done of all the ladies who are doing the quilt I will let everyone know how many squares they are to send each lady. The label forget you read that. It was a bad idea and so every lady doing the quilt will put there own label on there own quilt if they want to. There is no color scheme and there is no time limit when you have to complete your quilt. Some of the ladies already have the squares cut out just waiting for the word from me on how many and to who they send them to. Once you get your squares sent off to all the ladies your home free, you can put your quilt together any time. No set date. After we get the quilts done we are going to post a pic on our photo pages. That's it. Let me know when you get the pages so I know they came through. Thanks Mary
