Hello Bub!!! And Miss Prada!!! How are you...I know you're out "resorting", you crack me up, so email me or something when you get back. Me and Mom joined a quilting guild in White Oak (about 15 minutes from my house) and we made THE neatest thing for our first project...I'm working on something for your red/black/white project now....hope you like it!!! Well...love to you all...talk to you soon.
I had back surgery 3 years ago L 3 maybe. Herniated disc. That part I remember. What you said about not being able to sit gives my sympathy pains. Good luck. Hope they get everything fixed 'cause till it is UGH!
I want to know if you've been quilting since you were 14 how many years is that for you? I got hit with a brick this morning when I decided I've been quilting since I was 18. My next thought was a version of "holy Cow That's 22 years" 22! Where did they go. I agree with you "shocking " statement.
Hi. Mom isn't back yet...it's Wed the 10th..they are to leave today though to head home, Brian works on Friday. I'll ask her, but you know she will.....
I'm going to Half Price Books to see if they have the book...it's $28.00 here...I can't afford it right now with Eric off. We have NO extra money coming in....I'll let you know...if not, then I guess I won't participate.
Hi Bub...yes, I did join and it looks exciting...I just have to navigate my way around to find stuff, but you know me...I'll find it eventually!! Can't wait to start our project together!!!
Welcome Scott. Your guild sounds fabulous. I love hearing about all the charity work Guilds do. You don't seem like much of a slacker so you will need to prod us along as we get carried off yapping and forget to do our quilt. How exciting that you and your sister are exchanging quilts. What kind of material do you think you will use ? I use a lot of Jo Morton reproductions so mine will look like it's from the 1860's. At least that's what I think I'm doing. Who knows,by the 15th I may have changed my mind.
Hi Scott and welcome! Edith is right, we do get pretty chatty about anything and everything, but we also do a lot of quilt talk. Lots of questions, answers, ideas, and great pictures!! So happy to have you aboard, hope you enjoy the site as much as we all do! Would love to see some pictures of what you have done when you have a chance to post them. (I am bad, as I don't have any posted yet)......... one of these days! So happy to hear that you have the quilting "bug" and it came from your Grandmother, so it has to be good!!
Have a great day!
Carol from upstate NY
Hi Scott, welcome to the club and the group. I know it will seem overwhelming with all these chatty ladies, but if you belong to a guild I am sure you must be used to it by now. Just jump in whenever and where ever you have a fancy too.
