CT Admin took it down. Apparently the husband found his wife's stash after she passed away and took the pictures. (She'd hidden her stash in the spare bedroom in totes that took the place of the mattress, then made up the bed as if the mattress was still there.) I thought it was genius, but he was hurt to think the pictures were posted here on the main page. I certainly wasn't poking fun or trying to be mean spirited. I found the picture on social media (FB), so I had no idea where it came from.
Robin, on second thought, go ahead and keep the other goodies but do send the table runner to her. I will send some goodies to her. Keep the owl fabric. I'm so sorry that the post office made a mistake. Apparently, Robin's package, the name got covered by another sticker and was sent to you instead of being mailed back to me. I will make another table runner just for you!
Hi Robin. The package with the table runner was a gift from another group for Christmas and that should go to Robin Price Dixon in PA. I am so sorry about the mix up, what an odd trip that package has been on. When you emailed earlier, I figured you were thanking me for the first package and didn't realize that you had gotten two. If you could mail it to her, I would really appreciate it.
I hope you liked the blocks that I sent. Again, sorry for the confusion. Here is her address:
Robin Price Dixon
179 Lincoln Street
Uniontown, PA 15401
Thank you for being so sweet about it! If you like, I can make another table runner for you, with the angel on it. It would be my pleasure to do that for you.
When it comes to scrapes I have been making myself make a quilt from the mess while I go through it. But when the skirt problem came, my scrapes became even more of a problem, for I had to put scrapes away so I would have space for the skirts. Now I was giving up my time for nothing, while I needed time to clean up my sewing area. I took the advice from the other ladies that posted. Got a half day five days a week job, I hope I can play and make money too. Only so far, I have had four full days. There is always a full day sub job.
Hi Robin - I saw you were on "chat" last night, but I guess you were busy shopping :) How are you? I have sciatica problems this week, but went to the chiropractor yesterday for an adjustment and starting to feel better. I have these problems every once in a while. I've been hand quilting and trying to finish up a table topper. I'll post it once it's finished. Have a grand day and keep warm - hugs,Becky
Hello ra57! Merry Christmas to you! I finally finished my Birds and Berries quilt and have posted it on my page. I hope you will take a look at it! Love all your pictures of your projects. Have a wonderful Christmas! Becky
Hello ra57 - It's been a long time -- i hope you are doing well. I absolutely love your table runners, wallhangings and quilts that you have pictured here. You are a busy lady. I am finishing up a wallhanging for my sister - called Birds and Berries - I "finally" finished my double wedding ring king size quilt last winter, but still have to put the binding on it. I sewed an Irish Chain Quilt top for my daughter, Susie. I will start quilting it after the holidays. My daughter Jennifer got married 2 weeks ago inCalifornia - it was beautiful wedding and she was a beautiful bride - she seems happy. my husband and I were able to spend 9 days with her and her then fiance before the wedding. Our other 2 daughters were bridesmaids for her. we had a wonderful time and I miss her already. I hope you'll write and let me know how you are doing, too. Hugs, Becky Carmichael
That is just what I am doing Robin. I have an awful big bin full of fabrics and another filled with kits that I have purchased but the one that shocked me was all the "tops" that are ready and waiting for quilting. With all the work we did here at the house this past year I didn't get any sewing/quilting done. I had to pay to have my 2 main gifts quilted for Christmas and it nearly killed me. That was $250.00 that I sure could have used to buy more fabric that I didn't need. lolol
Robin I appreciate the nice comment on my top. I decided to just quit stacking these things in a tub and put them together. I have decided to make a seperate quilt with the siggies. I am going to use all the 2.5" strips that are left over from some log cabin tops and make a square around each one then I can put them together with some snowballed blocks and make the small baby size quilts to practice my free motion on.
