Thanks Linda... It's a pattern that I got from epatternscentral.com that I changed a little bit (there was a 'fancy' block where I put a solid one).

Linda, thank you for the nice comment on the watermelon placemats. The pattern came from the book Company's Coming designed by Barbara Brandeburg of Cabbage Rose Quilts. I bought it some time ago and finally pulled it out and did something with it! They were so fun and fast that I am starting another set for my daughter-in-law.

Linda, I have been admiring your quilts for quite a while. They are beautiful. If mine look half as good as yours, I will be very happy with my new machine.

Thank you for your kind words about Brandy and the loss of a pet. Brandy is the first pet I've ever had. It took my husband and the boys quite awhile to talk me into it. They wanted a large dog....Brandy was our meet in the middle pet. Now seventeen years later I can't imagine life without her. The boys have grown and flew the coop, but I never felt the "empty nest" until now. She was my constant companion. If I was home I was either holding her or she sleeping beside me as I worked. I had a Brandy bed in my sewing room & computer room. If I was gone my husband would find her in my sewing room. The house just feels empty. I never thought it would hurt this much. I feel your pain, know I will be thinking of you and sharing your grief. Cara

Hi Linda, thanks for your compliments. The Christening was today, so the quilt is officially Lily's. She, Mom and Dad are happy with it. Even their kitty loves the box!

Good Morning Linda! Hope you don't mind if I ask another question about your quilts....do you do the embroidery on JUST the top of the quilt or do you add the embroidery flourishes after it is all sandwiched together? I keep hoping to find a quilt I can grab my Mom's Viking Diamond and try it! Thanks again! Dejah

Hi Linda, Thanks for the nice comments on my Salt Water Taffty quilt. The pattern is by Ta Dah Quilts. The websites is
www.tadahquiltdesigns.com If you click the tab pattern preview it will give you the first page of the quilt. That is the main part of the quilt the next step is adding a white block on each side of the "candy". The quilt is fairly simple. Jannis

Thank you Linda (comment on Take my Hand photo by my son). We're excited for the day when he does this full time. Right now he has another job and does this as much as possible.

Linda, thanks for the comment on my quilt. It was fun to work with all the bright colors. Your quilts are beautiful. I love how you incorporate the embroidery. I've done some machine embroidery but now I'm inspired to try some on quilts.

Linda, I have a book on cat behavior which says the homes with 6 or more cats have an 80% chance of having at least one cat that will go potty in other places besides the litter box. Do you have any problems with that? This book helped me with my cat Mocha. For 5 years I had problems with that cat peeing in a couple different places. The book helped me figure out that she was scared of the washing machine that was right next to her litter box. Once I put another one in another room she quit doing it! It was so simple!!! If only they could talk!
