Thanks for the info on Allison's "just because" quilt. I checked it out - they've sold out on etsy. I'm hoping that when they get their (blue meadow designs) website up and running, they may offer it.

Linda, thank you for the comments on the Jungle Friends. I have had it quilted with limey green/varigated thread in fern boughs. Wasn't certain I'd like it but I do. Now just the binding but I sure need good sunlight for that.....black on black.
Thoroughly enjoyed going through your photos.....I am in awe. Such talent! Beautiful work!

Hi Linda,
the pattern is " Hilltop houses " from Flavin Glover - A new look at log cabin quilts is the title of the book. Really neat patterns....I love houses

Thanks, that does help! It will make the quit top easier. I have taken the "Cotton" therory classes were you emb. all layers then strip piece etc. to me, I did enjoy it, but it seemed like alot of extra work... esp for a small quilt.
thanks again. Jodie

Linda, Thank you for the nice comment on the tiger quilt. It's a very simple one compared to many of yours. You have some completed some very beautiful quilts.

as I am wanting to incorporate embroidery--did you do the embroidery prior to piecing--or add it in after the quilt was completed so you had the design thru all layers? I am trying to figure out the best way (and at times easiest!) without damaging what I am trying to accomplish. thanks Jodie

First I'd like to thank you for your wonderful comment about my quilt for Hunter...Now that I've seen the WONDERS that you create I'm that much more inspired! You are AMAZING! Being a quilter and just starting the embroidery bit, I LOVE how you incorporate embroidery on quilts...the thought of embellishing a finished quilt with embroidery just never occurred to me! It is a gorgeous accent! You are an inspiration and a wonder! Keep them coming...I can only wish to be half as talented as you some day! Thanks again!

I haven't given the pillow to my sister yet. She gets it tomorrow for her birthday and I can't wait to see her reaction. I am excited!

Thank you for my 5 star rating on the pillow I made for my sister! Your work has been my favorite since the first day I saw it on this site so I really, really appreciate your kind comments. You are so creative.
The dog is a PBGV. I am not sure what the letters stand for but she has 2 of them and they are such happy dogs. The design came from the Advanced Embroidery site. I have had good luck with the designs I buy from them but this was by far my biggest embroidery project. It was over 60,000 stitches after I enlarged it and took me 140 minutes.
Trouble looks like a nice dog, not any trouble at all...does he like your cats?
Thanks again, Sue

Thanks so much on the comment on my Hunter Star. I'm hoping to teach that at a class this fall but in a larger block and just a wall haning size.
The quilts in your photo's are just beautiful. And what a lovely idea incorparating embroidery with it. That is the next thing on my wants list is a machine that will embroidery. Do you do the machine quilting I'm not that great at that yet. I'm a hand quilter and have been quilting since 1979. Thanks for sharing your quilts - Happy Quilting.

Thank you so much for your comment on the Cathedral Window. It took me a while to figure it out but once I did I loved doing it. Your work is so beautiful. All of it. What talent you have. Every time a new photo came up I would think "oh, that's my favorite" I love the iris pillow and I love all your kitty things. I am a cat person, always have to have at least one if not more. Right now we have two that are 12 and 13. Anyway, thank you again and happy sewing!

Linda-Thanks for your comment on my friendship quilt. I appreciate it, but after viewing your quilts all I can say is OMG! Your's are fantastic. Some day I hope to be half as good. Love the gradient quilt. I'm assuming that the leaves are embroidered?? The black and white is awesome too. Just can't make up my mind which is my favorite. What kind of embroidery machine to you have?
Love your kitties also. I'm such a sucker for animals, especially cats. Your Guaca looks like my Milhouse. Unfortunately we lost Mr. Mil last summer at only 9 years old. Sure do miss the big guy. We've still got Bart, Krusty and Patches. I'd have a zoo if hubby would let me!!!
Wow, you're a great grandma of 3? You must have started having kids really, really young!!!
You should think about joining our Iowa Quilters group. We've got gals from all over, not just IA and you will never meet a nicer more fun bunch. We've all got to be such good friends and I think you would enjoy the group. This is such an awesome way to meet other quilters, learn, share ideas and make friends!!

Linda,
I have seen you have done another dicotomy with spots, really like it. You should go to Cheryl Mckie's page. I came across a scrappy quilt that she cut in quarters.
