Right now I don't think I will be getting one but I'm looking around. I know what I would really like but it isn't in my budget. I like the Janome Memory Craft 11000 but it isn't within my reach at the momment. The problem I feel is I seem to have so many machines and it would be nice to have one that does sewing and embroidery. Also I've looked at the cheaper machines that only do embroidery but I think the hoops are smaller, and wonder if this can only enable you to do so much. I would like your imput on this. Is your machine just a embroidery and how big is the hoops you can use on it.? I was thinking of also looking for one someone traded up and traded in their old model, then wondered would I be getting someone esles problem if that is why they are getting rid of it. Unless I go through a dealer. Then you know how it is they usually want to sell their new top model.
Hi you say you have a Babylock can you plug that into your computer and download patterns for the embroidery? I have been looking at the Janome but I'm afraid it isn't in my price budget at the momment, it is also a sewing machine and embroidery too.
Hi Barbara I took another look at your beautiful photo's of your work it really is lovely. I wonder your embroidery on your quilts and table runner, what machine did you do this on. And is your embroidery machine just an embroidery machine or does it do regular sewing too.
Here's the pattern for the handbag tea cozy. I think it is okay to share as I have tried to research and see if the magazine it was in is still available to get and it doesn't appear to be. It was in one of the really neat Austraila magazines. Tea Cosy pattern on Word.doc I've done about 4 of them now. This one is for a small to med. small teapot, so you may want to increase the pattern size. I've done different teacup stitcheries, etc. It's really fun.
Just went through your pictures -- you've made some wonderful quilts and other projects! You are very talented.
Hi Barbara, thanks for commenting on my Eagle quilt, which I made for my son in law. I thought it was going to be a very intimidating pattern, but it was actually very easy! He collects all kinds of "eagle" stuff. Thanks again!
Hi! I saw that you made me a friend so I made you one too. Yes, I am an avid Cowboy fan through thick and thin ever since they became a team. I get a lot of flack for it but I am a true fan. Talk to you soon.
Good morning! Unfortunately I live on the east coast of Florida near Jacksonville. Our grandson that we raised is attending FSU and loving every minute of it. He is there on scholarship and entered as a Sophmore. He comes home about once a month and we visit when we can. He is newly on staff at FSView and working at Wacovia too so he is pretty busy. Now, I am going to look at your photo gallery! Have a lovely day!
Thank you for the kind words on my work. As for the baby, he just left a little while ago. He likes to come and drink coffee with his "Nanny Gayle". He is now 5 months old and he is my pride and joy. Oh BTW, he is my great grandson. He loves to visit and play with his "Tigger" that talks to him while his Mom and I have our coffee.
Did you design the frog wallhanging? I like the frogs and collect them. My sister bought me a lap blandet with frogs on it from the "Cracker Barrell Restaurant". My squares with the black background is my #1 UFO that might never be finished. I usually get the tops together and then never get them quilted, but I didn't get that one put together. I ordered a "Pre-cut KIT" from e-bay and when it came, I had no instructions and then as I worked as I worked the blocks together by looking at the picture on my computer, I found out that there was not enough fabric in the "kit".
I enjoyed chatting with you and will chat again later......................
Thanks for your message - and now I know pretty much where you live in Florida. I have never been to that part of your State but have heard that you have a much more moderate climate than farther south and that sure makes for easier quilting I am sure! Keep in touch, Hugs, KLB
Hi Barbara and welcome to the group! Thanks so much for your comments on my Norfolk Harvest wallhanging (Norfolk is the County I live in in Southern Ontario). You never know when it might go up for sale - I make so many things for class samples that eventually they are included in the big Arts and Crafts Show I do each November, but this is a new class so it won't be for a while (just kidding!). I see that you live in Milton FL but I don't know where that town is - for many years, we spent winters in Holiday FL just south of New Port Richey and just north of Tarpon Springs, and I was a long-time member of West Pasco Quilt Guild. If you would like to correspond on a regular basis personally, my e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org
Would love to hear from you again!
