I am a Quilter of more than 30 years! I also love Scrap booking now that I have so many grandchildren pictures to save! It also combines well with my love of color and scraps! I am a Wife, a recent college graduate, (Spring 09), Mother of 3 grown sons, and I have 7 beautiful grandchildren! I also love to read, go camping, garden, history, and I love my critters! (I currently have 1 large black lab and 5 cats).

Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival!

Hello Friends!  It's that time of year again!  I'm headed off on a bus trip with the local quilt shop, to the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival tomorrow to spend the day! Are any of you going to be there?  I would love to meet up with you and say hello if you are!  I'll take lots of pictures and share again like I did last year, it was awesome to see!  So many quilts!  And so many vendors!  I'll be like a kid in a candy store!  Can't wait!

Thank you, Cheryl--I was encouraged by your comments today.  this is  a hard time for me right now--growing pains aren't just for children, are they?  I'm feeling a lot of hurt, but it's something important enough to hurt over.  there is so much love underlying all of it that I believe this dear one and I will get past this swamp and through to the other side.

Hi Cherly, Thanks for the encouragement.  I thought of you recently and your penchant for rescuing stray cats, if I remember correctly.  DH found a mostly starved barn kitten doing its best to get away from the dog.  Poor little thing.  He brought it in and we fed it and loved on it and then took it back to a safe place in the barn so if mama came back, she would be there.  (We shut the dog out of the barn.)  Mama must have met an untimely end, because she never came back to claim it and we could find no other kittens the same size/age as this one.  That was a couple months ago.  You would not believe the difference from the bony, little thing to the fluffy, half-grown cat we have now.  She's a beauty.  She mixes well with the wild barn cats and still likes to curl up in our laps for attention as well.  We've not had a tame cat around here for a long time.  It's been fun.  Hope your family is all doing well.

Well congratulations!  I know what you mean about not turning on the computer when you get home.  I'm soooooo lucky that I can visit quilting related sites during the work day - research you know!  haha   The job is going really well, the knee is moving along very slowly and I've only unpacked necessities...which of course means parts of my sewing room!  One of these days I'll get it organized, but I'm spending much of my weekends exploring and learning the area, which I also love.
