I am a homemaker and love to do any different crafts, card making, and sewing and learning to quilt on my own. I finished 230 baby items and quilts for 3 different charities and felt fullfilled.I love doing this and keeps me busy.I have a great Hubby of over 36 yrs. that indulges me in getting a great stash of fabric. Just wish we had more fabric outlets. We have really enjoy the South for over 5 years now after leaving Northern Mi. because of the terrible job market and being closer to family and not to mention NO SNOW!! I love the people down here. We have two married children and one precious grandson who is 11 now and loves to do crafts with his nana. I just love this site. KUDOS to CT.
Hi! I'm not sure which fabric you were looking for - you posted on my Mini Bikini quilt. I'm pretty sure the flip flop one is a Timeless Treasures, the "sand" fabric is from Joanns, and I don't remember where the others are from.
Marlene, I am sorry about your dad having breast cancer. I had a dear friend (male) I used to work with that had it. It was diagnosed late and he did not make it. I miss him. Thanks for your comments on the quilts.
Hi Marlene, thanks for your nice comment on my geisha quilt. I took the photo before I was really finished with it...it's now embellished with silk flowers and beads. Looks like you have quite a stash...nice collection of fabrics. Happy quilting and crafting. Estie
Thanks Marlene, I do have the Pfaff but am intimidated by it - how embarrassing. Got it gently used on Craig's list. Having those two rooms empty, I shook off the guilt (tho it does come back to haunt me, Mom stuff, you know?) and took over. I love being in there. I plan to cover the couch with fabric I already have, but who knows when?
You are blessed with family and a wonderful husband. I feel like I'm still learning but like you, we have time try everything. Let's just keep trying new techniques and keep in touch. Bernie aka "Goofy" is my latest rescue. He came to us 3 months ago and is still learning the ropes. As you may know he was found wandering in a Kansas snowstorm and has been shipped around too many times in his young life. I think he finally realized we are his forever home. Keep stitching!!!!! your friend, judy
